Library Tea 2011
The Annual Petersham Memorial Library Tea was held on Sunday, February 7. This social event, sponsored by the Trustees and Staff, is a Thank You to all for their support of the library and its programs. At this year's tea, the Francis H. Lee Society inducted five members for their service to the library. Inducted were Tally Lent, Jeanne Forand, John Pope, Tom Anderson and Fifi Scoufopoulos.
The Francis H. Lee Society was created in 2005, by the Library Trustees as a means to honor individuals whose labors on behalf of the Memorial Library reflect Lee's faithful stewarship.

Our Annual Tea
The tea was held on Sunday February 7th. Once again thanks go to Jeanne Forrand and Tally Lent for organizing it. With a special thanks to the Petersham Unitarian Church for lending us cups and saucers for a tea thirsty crowd and to Emily Arnold for lending us her silver tea service.
We had a great turn out this year.
Honored at the tea were:
Linda Gansen for her donation of our entry way mural.
Rita Pope for her donation of artwork for our CafePress gift shop.
Bob Hall (in absentia as he was actively protecting the town at that time) for donating, starting and maintaining our website.

Garden Forum
Peter George presented an interesting talk on Rock Gardens, followed by Jack Kittredge talking about Back Yard Orchards. The day wrapped up with a panel discussion on Organic Vegetable Gardening organized by Kathleen Geary, one of the gardeners using the Nichewaug Community Garden. This event coincided with the Petersham Branch Allicance Plant Sale which raised $1460 to be split between the Petersham Memorial Library and the Petersham Animal Shelter.
