Storytime!
Tuesday Mornings, 10:30-11am
Join us every Tuesday for stories, songs, movement, and play! This lively and interactive program encourages a love of reading while supporting early literacy development. Open to children ages 0-5 and their caregivers, with many 2-year-olds among our regulars.
This is a drop-in program—registration is not required.
Adult Craft Circle
Wednesday Afternoons, 4-5pm
Interested in getting together with other community members for a nice chat while you work on your latest craft project? Need help with a knitting conundrum? Look no further. Join us every Wednesday from 4-5 p.m. for a really enjoyable hour. Don’t have a craft project? We can help you figure out what’s best for you and get you on track to trying something new. For ages 18+.
Library LEGO Club
Wednesday, 3:15-4:15pm
Unleash your creativity at LEGO Club, hosted by the Petersham Memorial Library. Join us every other week for a one-hour session of hands-on fun, where young builders can take on exciting LEGO challenges or bring their own ideas to life.
This drop-in program is open to all ages and skill levels.
Office Hour with Rep. Aaron Saunders
Second Friday of each month, 2:30-3:30pm
State Rep. Aaron Saunders and/or representatives from his office will be at the library to take your questions and listen to concerns.
Dungeons & Dragons (Online)
Saturdays, 6-8pm
PML hosts Dungeons & Dragon online every Saturday and is open to all ages and skill levels. Contact admin@petershamlibrary.org if you are interested in participating.
Special Programs
Arbor Day
Wednesday, April 30, 3:00 pm
Celebrate Arbor Day with the Petersham Memorial Library and our community partners—Petersham Forest and Shade Tree Committee, Petersham Grange, and Harvard Forest! This fun-filled afternoon offers something for everyone as we celebrate the beauty of our forests and learn about Petersham's public shade trees. Join us for an engaging mix of activities for all ages:
Guided Tree Tour – Join local tree expert, Clarisse Hart, for a stroll around the Town Common to learn about the variety, history, and health of our town’s beloved trees.
Tree Planting – Celebrate the installation of a new sugar maple on the Town Common! Learn the basics of planting new trees and celebrate this exciting addition to our community.
Wild Craft Club – Harvard Forest educators will lead a special Arbor Day-themed workshop for kids (ages 5+), where they’ll get outdoors and unleash their creativity with a hands-on activity.
